No food rules. No shame.

No starting over on Monday.

Let’s create a lasting, stress-free nourishment plan.

Virtual nutrition counseling in Georgia, Pennsylvania, and around the U.S.

Hi! I’m Courtney Plush, a registered dietitian offering virtual nutrition therapy that’s science-based, weight-inclusive, and rooted in your long term thriving. My approach is…

Expansive, not restrictive: we take a flexible, add-in approach to food

Behavior-oriented: we focus energy toward actions that improve health and well-being, rather than controlling weight or shape

Insightful: we unpack underlying beliefs and experiences that shape your eating patterns to cultivate a kinder relationship with food

Grounded in the principles of intuitive eating

Intuitive eating is an approach to nourishment that harnesses the wisdom of your inherent instincts, emotions, and thoughts to guide your eating patterns and meet your body’s unique day to day needs. Research shows us that intuitive eaters enjoy lots of benefits, including improved blood sugar management, lower cholesterol and heart disease risk, greater body appreciation, a more diverse dietary pattern, and weight stabilization (vs. weight cycling) over time. I believe a more attuned and internally driven eating pattern is available to all of us, even if discovering it takes a bit of practice and time. This will look different for each individual, and it has to be experienced, not just read about in a book. Honoring your body’s physical and emotional cues, combined with identifying and letting go of rules and harmful beliefs about the moral value of food choices and body size can lead to happier and healthier life.

Let’s imagine…

Imagine I could wave a magic wand right now and your relationship with food and your body is healed, healthy, and bringing you peace and joy. Maybe it would look something like this:

  • You’re finally settling into a flexible food routine, making food choices with confidence, guided by your body’s cues, unique health needs, and what sounds good to you.

  • You’re moving your body on your terms in ways that feel good - a nature walk, a Pilates class with friends, or a gentle stretch.

  • You choose what you actually want at a restaurant, without stressing over the calories.

  • You can nurture yourself through a stressful work week or hurtful rift with your partner without numbing with food.

  • Your clothing reflects your personal style and creative expression, not a desire to hide your body.

I believe all of that is possible

I believe you can feel good about your relationship with food, even if it feels far away right now. Maybe you’re navigating:

  • Feeling exhausted by the constant search for the “right” way to eat to manage a health concern like type 2 diabetes, IBS, or high cholesterol

  • A long history of cycling between dieting and binge eating, fueled by fear of weight gain or pressure to lose weight from medical providers or family members

  • Body changes related to life stage transitions (like perimenopause or menopause) or mobility challenges

  • Haphazard eating patterns or meal skipping, leading to symptoms like low energy, brain fog, difficulty focusing, and mood instability

I got you. Here’s how we’ll figure it out together:

  • Nutrition counseling - a warm, non-judgmental exploration of your current eating habits, and collaborative, realistic goal-setting to support food routines that nourish you for the long term.

  • Nutrition education - we’ll dive as far into the science as you’ll let me, so you have a deep understanding of how your body works and what happens when something is off. I’ll always explain the “why” behind any nutrition recommendations we discuss.

  • Unpacking your relationship with food - identifying beliefs and thought patterns keeping you stuck, and building skills to unhook from them when they hijack you. A little understanding goes a long way!

  • Intuitive eating coaching - connecting with hunger, fullness, and satisfaction cues, challenging the food police, and making peace with all foods (the cookies AND the salads).

  • Body image healing - separating your worth from your size (and maybe getting a little angry at the system), and living fully in the body you have right now.

  • Holistic support in caring for your body’s basic needs other than nutrition - sleep, connection, and befriending your nervous system to build stress resilience.
